Hello defence lovers! In this article, we are going to discuss the Top 10 Countries with the most Fighter Aircraft. The air force has become the most prominent part of the defence and military offence of any country. These air forces are involved in various wars conflicts and disputes across the world. The production of military aircraft is on the rise since more countries have the need to secure their airspace and demonstrate military capabilities.

10. Israel

At number 10 of our list, we have Israel. The Israeli Air Force is mainly equipped with the f-16 Fighting Falcon, the f-15 strike eagle, and the f-35 lightning ii. Israeli airforce operates a total of combat aircraft is 329. Recently we say the action of these fighters when these were used to bomb Hamas in the Gaza strip in the Israel Palestine conflict.

Saudi Arabia has 136 f-15E Strike eagle, 72 Eurofighter Typhoon, 91 Panavia tornado, and 62 f-15C which sums up to a total of 351 fighter aircraft. Currently, Saudi Arabia is the largest importer of weapons in the world and is heavily dependent upon the united states for these imports.

At number eight we have Egypt, the land of pyramids. The Egyptian air force is equipped mainly with many modern fighters such as f-16 Fighting Falcon, Dassault Rafale, Mig-29m, mirage 2000, and some old mirage 5. The total number of fighter aircraft operated by Egypt is 409. Recently Egypt ordered its second batch of Rafale at a lower cost compared to its first batch. Currently, Egypt is the second-largest operator of Rafale after France.

7. South Korea

At number 7, is South Korea. South Korea’s combat aircraft includes f4 phantom II, f-35 lightning ii, f-16 fighting falcon Boeing f-15E, Northrop f-5, and the kai T 50 golden eagle, the domestically developed version of F16. They have a total number of 476 combat aircraft.

6. Pakistan

At number six is the land of Terrorists. Yes, we are talking about our useless neighbor Pakistan. The land of Terrorist Airforce has 135 Chengdu j7, the Chinese copy of Mig 21, Few aging and decaying Mirage III and Mirage 5. They also possess the most advanced fighter on the planet- the 10th generation Junk Fighter JF 17 spaceship fighter. These also have few f 16 begged from Uncle Sam. In total, they have 497 fighter aircraft.

5. Noth Korea

At number five we have North Korea, which has a total number of 563 combat aircraft their main combat aircraft are Chinese-designed junks such as Shenyang f5, j6, and Chengdu j7. They are also equipped with Soviet aircraft like Mig-21, Mig-23, Sukhoi Su-7b and Sukhoi Su-25. Compared to South Korea all these fighters are outdated.

4. India

At number four on our list is India. Indian Air force is equipped with a variety of fighters. 272 fighter fleet of Su 30 MKI is the backbone of IAF. Other aircraft include the Dassault Rafale, mirage 2000, SEPECAT Jaguar, Mig 29, Mig 21, and Indigenous LCA Tejas. The total number of combat aircraft is 589. Indian Airforce is the 4th largest airforce in the world as well.

3. Russia

At number three we have Russia. Russian Airforce operates 1076 numbers of combat aircraft which includes Mikoyan mig-31, mig-29, Sukhoi Su-27, Su 25, Sukhoi Su-30, Sukhoi Su-34, Sukhoi Su-35, and many more. Russia used to be one of the largest fighter aircraft exporters in the world. The Russian fighters are known for their maneuverability, especially the Su 35, Su 30, Su 27, and Mig 29.

2. China

With 1668 fighter aircraft, China at number two. Although two-third of its airforce is composed of outdated fighters. China has 728 Chengdu j7, 323 Chengdu j-10 and 205 Chengdu j11. All these fighters are illegal copies of the Russian and Soviet counterparts. The PLAAF is also equipped with some Russian Fighters such as Su 30 MKM and Su 35. PLAAF also operate few Chengdu J 20 which ithe Chinese claim as 5th generation fighter. Although it’s mostly developed from stolen plans of F 22 raptor.

1. United States of America

With 2362 fighter aircraft, the USA is number one on our list. Note that we are not counting the Naval air arm and the Marine Corp. If the Naval air arm was an airforce it would have occupied Number 3 on our list. USAF operates hundreds of f 16, F 15 and A10 deployed all over the world in their overseas military bases. USAF also operates 5th generation fighters Such as F 22 Raptor and F 35 along with F 117 night hawk.
