Two Pakistani Spies To Be Repatriated Via Attari Border Today

Two Pakistani spies will be deported to their country via the Attari border today after the Union Home Ministry issued an order in this regard on Monday.

While one prisoner is languishing in a juvenile centre in Barmer, the other is lodged in the central jail in Gwalior.

According to a report by TOI, the 17-year-old prisoner Bhagchand Koli, a resident of Peerkot village of Dhoronaro tehsil in Amarkot district of Pakistan, had entered India by jumping over the border fence at Munabao in Barmer on September 9, 2020.

Caught by the Border Security Force (BSF), he was handed over to the police.

Security agencies believed he was spying for Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) after which he was sent to Jaipur for intensive inquiry. However, when nothing objectionable was found the Rajasthan government issued a no-objection certificate.

Another spy Abbas Ali Khan is in Gwalior jail and recently the Madhya Pradesh High Court had issued an order to deport him.

As per the official sources, Khan was arrested by Inderganj police on March 13, 2006, for spying for Pakistan and for making fake documents.

A resident of Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan, Abbas was living in Gwalior under a false identity as Madho Singh, a native of Bulandshahr.

58 documents including maps of military bases, fake voter cards, SIM cards were recovered from him.

He was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment and the sentence was completed on Feb 14, 2021.
