Pak ISI May Use IS-K Terrorists Against India: Intel

Intelligence inputs suggest that Pakistan’s ISI could use the Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) terrorists released from Afghanistan jails against India. Intelligence agencies have expressed concerns that Pakistan’s ISI may provide arms received from the Taliban to the released IS-K terrorists.

Islamic State-Khorasan, the Afghan affiliate of the IS group, claimed responsibility for the suicide bombings outside Kabul airport last month that killed over 100 people and left dozens injured. Sources said that IS can send these terrorists to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) from where they can be used to carry out terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir or other parts of the country.

According to information accessed by India Today TV, about 25 youths from Kerala joined the IS-K in Afghanistan. IS can use these terrorists to carry out attacks on India, sources said. A National Investigation Agency (NIA) report has also revealed that ISKP commander Munsib, who is believed to be operating from the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, radicalising youths to join IS-K and has been quite active on social media over the past few months
