ATS Arrests BSF Constable For Passing Sensitive Information To Pakistan

A Border Security Force (BSF) constable has been arrested from Gandhidham in Gujarat’s Kutch district for allegedly passing sensitive information to Pakistan as reported by ANI.

The BSF constable, identified as Mohammad Sajjad, was taken into custody by the Gujarat ATS.

“A resident of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri, he went to Pakistan and stayed there for 46 days before joining BSF. He used to send information on WhatsApp,” ANI quoted ATS Deputy SP BM Chavda as saying.

Sajjad, a native of the Sarola village in the Rajauri district, was deployed in the 74 BSF Battalion at Bhuj in July 2021, the ATS said in a release.

Sajjad was arrested at the BSF headquarters in Bhuj.

According to the ATS, he was getting money for providing the information which was getting deposited in the accounts of his brother Wajid and colleague Iqbal Rashid. Further Details awaited.
