India, Uzbekistan Standing Firmly Against Terrorism: PM Narendra Modi

India and Uzbekistan are standing together firmly against terrorism and have similar concerns over separatism, extremism and fundamentalism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday at a virtual summit with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In his opening remarks, Modi also said that India wants to further deepen its development partnership with Uzbekistan, and cited growing cooperation between the two sides in diverse sectors including defence and agriculture.

Talking about convergence of views between the two countries on regional issues, he said an Afghan-led and Afghan-controlled process is required to restore peace in Afghanistan. Modi also said that it was important to preserve the gains of the past two decades in Afghanistan.

“We have similar concerns over extremism, fundamentalism and separatid We both are standing firmly together against terrorism,”PM Modi said.

Five areas of practical cooperation to pursue under the new mechanism, including maritime security, counter-terrorism, humanitarian assistance, and peacekeeping operations.

The militant recruitment has overall decreased in the last six months. In South Kashmir Situation is bad then North Kashmir but overall situation is under control.

They motive to push weapons is to keep the people of Kashmir tangled ,sothat terrorism remains here. Army always try to stop this so that there is very no damage in Indian territory and want the help of the people to stop terrorism.

250-300 terrorists were ready across launch pads on the Pakistan side to infiltrate into Jammu & Kashmir. Last year, around 130 persons infiltrated and this year the figure is below 30.
