The Defence Minister also praised DRDO Chief G Sateesh Reddy saying the organisation has been contributing cutting edge technology to the armed forces.

With changing times, the nature of threats and wars is also changing, said Defence Minister adding that in the future, more security-related issues may arise before India.

“From another point of view, I find this event very important. With changing times, the nature of threats and wars is also changing. In the future, more security-related issues may come before us,” said Singh while attending the Military Literature Festival-2020 via video conferencing.

Addressing the issue of military literature, the Defence Minister said he is deeply interested in linking military literature with the common people.

My wish is that future generations understand the history of our country, especially the border history, he said.

He further said that he set up a committee immediately after assuming office which will work towards bringing India’s border history and its associated wars, to the people in a simple way.

Last year in December, Rawat had talked about the rise of non-contact warfare saying it would help India in gaining an advantage over the adversary in future wars.

Quantum technologies, cyber, space, and artificial intelligence need to be leveraged into the defence ecosystem, he had said.
