DG Level Talks Between BSF And BGB Begin In Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The 51st Director-General Level Talks betweenย Border Security Force Indiaย andย Border Guard Bangladeshย (BGB) has commenced on Tuesday in Guwahati,ย Assam. It is for the first time that the bi-annual Director-General Level Talks between the two Border guarding forces is taking place in Assam. The meeting will continue till December 26.
The delegation of Border Guard Bangladesh is being led byย the DG BGB Majย Gen Shafeenul Islam and the BSF delegation is headed byย the DG BSF Shri Rakesh Asthana,ย IPS. They will discuss various aspects and issues related toย Border Management. They will also deliberate upon steps being taken to strengthen the security grid in a cohesive manner for the betterment of people living on the borders of both countries.BSF stated that the meeting will conclude with the signing of a Joint Record of Discussions by both the Directorsโ General of BSF and BGB.
