US Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has announced a diplomatic tour of the Indo-Pacific region, which includes a visit to India. Gabbard shared details of her itinerary on the social media platform X, stating, “I am #WheelsUp on a multi-nation trip to the Indo-Pacific, a region I know very well having grown up as a child of the Pacific. I’ll be going to Japan, Thailand, and India, with a brief stop in France en route back to DC.” She also posted a photograph of herself boarding an aircraft, marking the beginning of her journey.
Before heading to Asia, Gabbard will make a stop in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she will meet with intelligence community partners and leaders at the US Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM).
