For Mathematics paper (paper 1)

  • Identify your strong topics and weak topics.
  • Categorize all the topics into strong, moderate and weak
  • Make a strategy of attempting your paper.
  • I would not suggest attempting the paper sequentially, although if you feel comfortable then you can.
  • Solve the questions of the strong topics in the first hour.
  • solve the questions of the moderate topics in the second hour.
  • try some questions from your weak topics in the leftover time.
  • make sure you solve minimum 60 questions.
  • Revise all the formulae before the exam. ONLY formula!!
  • Don’t waste too much time on a single question. Don’t take any question on your ego. Just move on. There are 120 questions to play with.

For General Studies paper (paper 2)

  • JEE aspirants BEWARE!! Don’t dare to stuff your brains with history, geography etc just for the sake of exams. (if you are genuinely interested to study them then you can). Trust me you can crack the exam with Physics Chemistry Maths and English (PCME) only.
  • Solve the English portion first. It is going to take very less time. You will save valuable time there.
  • While travelling to the centre or day before the exam, you can watch dedicated videos on current affairs for NDA on youtube.. Trust me this is going to help you a lot, at least with 2 or 3 questions.
  • Focus on your subjects ONLY! DON’T DARE TO SOLVE EVERYTHING!!
  • If You are from science stream solve PCME+B( biology if applicable)
  • If you are from humanities focus on your subjects. Same applies for commerce students.
  • (Note: Humanity and Commerce students can only apply for army)

General Tips

  • Don’t be over-ambitious. Remember there is negative marking. Avoid making blind guesses. Attempt a question only if you are sure.
  • Visit the centre at least a day before. Make an early arrangement for your transportation.
  • Avoid carrying electronic devices since the clock room or locker room facilities are not available everywhere.
  • Do not discuss the questions of the first paper with others during the break. This can affect your confidence and performance in paper 2.
  • Do not share your contact details with fraud agents which will loiter outside the centre. They will misuse your data.
  • Don’t think about the results during the exam. FOCUS on your paper!
  • Be confident of yourself. You have prepared hard for the exam and you are going to crack it. Just Relax and give your best.

If you have prepared and studied sincerely then no one can stop you from cracking the exam. Hard work always pays off. You are going to be an officer in the armed forces so be confident and positive.
